Food and Urbanism – past, present, future?
Dr Susan Parham
Dr Parham will be reflecting on some of the intriguing lessons arising from her recent book, Food and Urbanism (Bloomsbury, 2015) for the way that cities are shaped around food. Drawing on urban design examples from historical and contemporary practice from a wide diversity of places Susan will explore how positive interconnections between food and cities – from urban agriculture to café culture to pop up food spaces to revitalised markets and productive edges can help support richly convivial places in future.
The seminar will commence at 4:15pm till 6:00pm followed by drinks.
The venue for this seminar is: the Central Committee Room on the first floor
Space is limited so please do RSVP by emailing John Conlon as soon as possible
